Booking and payment

Book on the site: choose your dates and pickup location, pick a car and confirm. It takes about two minutes and the reservation is free. If you prefer, write to us on WhatsApp or Telegram, or call, and we will hold the car for you. No prepayment is needed, you pay when you receive the car. In peak season, June to September, we recommend booking at least 7 days ahead so the car you want is still available.

The reservation is free and there is no deposit or prepayment of any kind. You pay the full amount at pickup, once you have seen the car and signed the agreement. We accept card and cash in GEL, USD or EUR. If you pay in a foreign currency, the price is converted at the official exchange rate on the day of pickup.

Changes and cancellation

Changes and cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the start of the rental. Just call or write to us. If your flight is delayed or something else outside your control happens, we accept changes at any time, even after the planned pickup time, without any penalty. Since there is no prepayment, there is nothing to refund: you simply do not pay for a rental that did not happen.

Driver requirements and documents

The driver must be at least 22 years old and have held a driving licence for at least 24 months. There is no upper age limit. The same rules apply to every additional driver. If you meet these two conditions and have the documents listed in the next answer, you can rent any car in our fleet, including the 4×4 vehicles for mountain routes.

Bring a valid passport or national ID and a valid driving licence for category B or light motor vehicles. Any licence in international format that can be read in English, Georgian or Russian is accepted in Georgia for up to 12 months after your arrival, as long as the vehicle category is clearly shown. If your licence is in another language or alphabet, you need a notarised translation. The translation is at your own expense; we can help arrange it, though this is not part of the contract. Licences from some countries need individual checking, so contact us in advance if you are unsure.

Yes, and it is free. Each additional driver must meet the same requirements as the main driver: at least 22 years old and a licence held for at least 24 months. We list every driver in the rental agreement at pickup, so please have their documents ready. Only drivers named in the agreement are covered by the insurance, so do not hand the wheel to anyone who is not listed.

Insurance

Standard insurance comes with every rental at no extra cost. It covers 90% of visual damage to the car body, including damage from a collision. Tyres and the windscreen are not covered under Standard. Full insurance costs $5 per day, with a minimum of $45 and a maximum of $100 per rental. It covers 100% of damage, windscreen included. Tyres are not covered under either package. You can add full insurance when booking or at pickup.

Both packages are valid only if the basic rules are kept. The driver must be completely sober: any alcohol or drugs void the cover immediately. You must follow the traffic rules; damage after running a red light, crossing a solid double line or entering a prohibited street is not covered, unless you did it to avoid a serious accident. The car must stay on official roads: highways, asphalt, secondary roads, gravel and official dirt roads are all fine. Riverbeds, open fields and any place without an official road track are not. If damage happens outside these rules, the renter pays 100% of the repair.

Vehicles and permitted roads

Sedans and compacts, such as the Corolla, Elantra, Rio, Sonata and Prius, are for paved roads only: cities, highways, airports. No gravel, no forest tracks. AWD crossovers, such as the Sportage, Tucson and RAV4, can go anywhere in Georgia on official roads, including gravel and dirt roads to Svaneti, Kazbegi, Racha or Khevsureti, but no heavy off-road. Body-on-frame 4×4s, the Pajero, Land Cruiser Prado and Delica, are for full expeditions and are the only cars approved for Tusheti. Rock crawling, mudding and forest trips are prohibited in every car, and damage from prohibited use is not covered.

Yes, in the right car. The Abano Pass road to Tusheti is one of the most demanding mountain roads in the world, and we only allow it in body-on-frame 4×4 vehicles specifically approved for Tusheti: the Pajero, Land Cruiser Prado and Delica. Tell us when booking that you are going, so we prepare the right car. Taking a sedan or a crossover onto the Abano Pass voids the insurance completely, and you would be responsible for any damage.

Travel outside Georgia

Trips to Armenia and Türkiye are possible with the cross-border permit, which you add as an extra. It includes the written permission and the insurance paperwork required at the border. Please ask for it at least 7 days before pickup, as the documents take time to prepare. Crossing into Azerbaijan or Russia is not allowed under any circumstances.

Pickup, return and one-way fees

Pickup and return in Tbilisi city centre, or delivery to any address in Tbilisi, are free. Tbilisi airport (TBS) costs $15. Kutaisi city centre is free and Kutaisi airport (KUT) is $10. In Batumi, both the city and the airport are free as a base. One-way rentals between cities are possible: Tbilisi to Kutaisi or back is $65, Tbilisi to Batumi is $85 and Kutaisi to Batumi is $70, added to the location fees above. At airports we meet you 24/7 in the arrivals hall, just send us your flight number.

Late return

The first hour after the agreed return time is free. If you are 1 to 3 hours late, we charge the hourly rate. More than 3 hours late counts as a full extra rental day. If you see that you will be delayed, call or write to us as early as you can. Usually we can adjust the return time, and the next customer will not be kept waiting.

Fuel

The rule is same-to-same: you get the car with a certain fuel level and return it with the same level. Petrol cars need 95 octane or higher; lower grades can harm the engine. The fuel type is shown on every car page, so check it and double-check the pump before refuelling. Damage from the wrong fuel is the renter's responsibility. If you prefer, ask in advance for a full tank at pickup: you pay only the market price of the fuel, with no service fee, and return the car empty.

Mileage

Mileage inside Georgia is unlimited, so you can drive from Tbilisi to Batumi, up to Kazbegi and back again without counting kilometres. The only limits are the ones that come with the car type: sedans stay on paved roads, crossovers on official roads, and only the approved 4×4s go to Tusheti. Outside Georgia the car may be driven only in Armenia and Türkiye with the cross-border permit.

Days on us

It is a simple way to make a longer rental cheaper. Pay for 3 days and get 1 extra day free. Pay for 7 days and get 2 free, for 14 days get 5 free, for 21 days get 7 free, and for 30 days get 10 free. The free days are counted into the price when you choose your dates on the site, or ask us and we will work it out for you. The longer the trip, the more you save.

Support and breakdowns

Call or write to us at any hour: support works 24/7 in English, Georgian and Russian via WhatsApp, Telegram or a phone call. Roadside assistance is available anywhere in Georgia, however remote the place. If the car stops because of a technical fault, we repair it or bring you a replacement within 10 hours. Whenever something looks wrong, a warning light, a strange noise, a flat tyre, contact us first and we will tell you what to do next.

Accidents

First make sure everyone is safe; if anyone is injured, call 112 right away. Then call us, before anything else: we will guide you through the next steps and help you talk to the police. Do not move the car until the police arrive, Georgian law requires this and moving it may void the insurance. Take clear photos of all vehicles involved, their number plates and the scene from several angles. A formal police report is mandatory for the insurance to work, and we will help you make sure the paperwork is done correctly.
