About this car
The Subaru Forester 2019 is the crossover we recommend when the plan includes mountains and bad weather. Symmetrical all-wheel drive is permanent, not an afterthought, the ground clearance is 220 mm, and the big windows and square body make it easy to drive on a narrow Svaneti road. We have two of them in black, with leather seats and a panoramic roof.
Five seats, five doors and a wide, flat boot for three large bags. The 2.5 litre petrol engine with a CVT automatic uses about 8 litres per 100 km. Kazbegi, Gudauri, the gravel to Juta, the Kakheti back roads and the paved road to Mestia are all comfortable; the Tusheti track is still Pajero territory.

- Same to same: return with the fuel level you picked up. Petrol cars take 95 octane or higher; check the pump before refuelling.
- Driver
- 22+ years old, 2+ years of driving. Any licence in Latin script.
- Second driver
- Free. Same age and licence requirements, listed in the agreement.
